The enduring foreign investor anchoring Vietnam’s market
Born in the UK, Mr. Dominic Scriven graduated with a degree in Law and Sociology from the University of Exeter. In 1994, he co-founded Dragon Capital, the leading foreign investment fund in Vietnam with total assets under management currently around US$6 billion.
He was a member of the ACB Board of Directors for two terms (2008 - 2011 and 2015 - 2025). With more than 30 years of experience in the financial sector, he has made significant contributions to the development of the bank, while helping to shape and promote the Vietnamese financial market.
Dominic Scriven was awarded an OBE by the Queen in 2006 and the Order of the British Empire by the President in 2014. In 2019, he funded the Dragon Chair in Biodiversity Economics at the University of Exeter. He is also interested in a wide range of fields, from Vietnamese art to biodiversity and the eradication of illegal wildlife trafficking. Dominic Scriven was involved as a co-producer of “The Tunnels: The Sun in the Dark”, a box office blockbuster about the soldiers fighting in the “steel land” of Cu Chi.
