Starting a business is tough. But that didn’t stop Dino Sadhwani from dropping out of school to open his first business at the tender age of 15. While that didn’t work out, the experience would stand him in good stead years later when, straight out of university, he co-founded Iris Group, which specialises in product sourcing and logistics management in Mainland China. With long-standing interests in real estate, supply-chain solutions and commodities, and venture-capital investments around the world, one of Dino’s most recent endeavours is focused closer to his Hong Kong home. Keen to establish a pivotal event to bring people together around Art Basel, he organised the Lacma party—a star-spangled affair celebrating the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, with more than a dash of Hollywood glamour thrown in. Aside from his business savvy, he’s certainly a man who knows how to throw a great party.
