Dian Sastrowardoyo has acted in over 17 films and television roles since 2000, including the 2017 biographical drama film on the women’s emancipation heroine “Kartini”. Other than being one of the country’s best actresses, with several awards to her name, Dian is also an entrepreneur. After a personal grooming and spa salon business, and the success of her online catering business 3 Skinny Minnies, she recently opened a new culinary joint in 2017, MAM Jakarta, which promotes healthy eating and supports a wide range of dietary needs. Furthermore, she has taken on a new role in being the co-founder of online travelling and photography platform, Frame A Trip, with over 400 photographers in 180 destinations. We have also seen Dian move into activism; her concern is education, which ultimately is the background behind the establishment of Yayasan Beasiswa Dian in 2009. She also founded the Dian Scholarship in 2017 to support women’s higher education. Amid her packed professional and personal lives, Dian also stays in shape as a runner and a gym junkie, all while remaining a loving mother of two sweet children.
