CEO, Cyber Security Agency
David Koh is CEO of Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency, a governmental body formed in 2015 to safeguard the country’s national systems and critical sectors—including telecommunications, power and banking—against cyber threats. The agency, established in the face of increasing cyber-attacks worldwide, is managed by the Ministry of Communications and Information, and is part of the Prime Minister’s Office.
Koh previously held various staff and command appointments at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Singapore Armed Forces, and was most recently deputy secretary of special projects and defence cyber chief at MINDEF. He has occupied positions on the boards of the Government Technology Agency, the Defence Science and Technology Agency, and the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s cyber-security advisory panel, among others.
Koh has a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University, USA, and an electrical and electronics engineering degree from King’s College in London. He and his wife Marlene have three children: Daniel, Rachel and Michael.
