The scion of the Bonia empire has developed the homegrown label into a leading luxury brand
As executive director of Bonia Corporation, Dato’ Sri Daniel Chiang Fong Seng has developed homegrown label Bonia into the leading lifestyle, luxury brand it is today. He is also the man responsible for the acquisition of German brand Braun Büffel.
As Bonia celebrates its 48th anniversary, Chiang marks several new milestones as part of its rebranding journey. This includes a new flagship store at Suria KLCC, an unprecedented gallery-like store concept designed by London-based interior architect Oskar Kohnen. The design is also replicated in Bonia’s new concept store in IOI City Mall.
As fashion and consumers evolved, so too has Bonia. Over the last few years, it has introduced new silhouettes, design collaborations and lifestyle collections such as tableware, leather planners and bottle holders. In 2022, it reveals La Luna, a brand new monogram for the first time in 30 years as well as a new line of ready-to-wear.

Daniel Chiang Fong Seng is an avid red wine enthusiast and collector. In 2017, the Chiang family produced their own Bordeaux wine called Les Arts et Métiers, celebrating their devotion to design, craftsmanship and heritage.
