A former chartered accountant turned real estate leader, Jaganath Derek Steven Sabapathy heads up Tribeca Real Estate Asset Management
Dato’ Jaganath Derek Steven Sabapathy, the founder and CEO of Tribeca Real Estate Asset Management, started his career as a chartered accountant. He first joined Price Waterhouse in London in 1981, returning to Malaysia three years later to join KPMG Malaysia (then known as KPMG Peat Marwick), where he was admitted as partner in 1990.
When he left KPMG in 1994, Sabapathy also retreated from the accounting field and assumed key leadership roles in several companies across several industries, including at Prime Utilities Berhad, Indah Water Konsortium—where he was managing director—and later as CEO and Director of Bandar Raya Developments Berhad Group (BRDB). At BRDB, he led some of its most prestigious development projects, including Bangsar Shopping Centre, The Troika and Serai Bukit Bandaraya.
Besides heading his own niche property development company with Tribeca Real Estate Asset Management, Sabapathy also holds several directorships including Sime Darby Property Berhad, Microlink Solutions Berhad, Omesti Berhad and Ho Hup Ventures.
