Serial entrepreneur and angel investor Darren Wang is pioneering the use of blockchain for business solutions
Darren Wang, founder of Owlting, believes that crypto has more beneficial applications than just being traded as currency. An early proponent of blockchain technology, Wang helps many businesses solve problems by encouraging them to secure their transactions on the blockchain, making their processes more transparent and traceable. OwlTing has developed solutions for tourism-related industries, with products like OwlNest, a hotel management platform, and OwlStay, OwlJourney, and OwlTing Experiences, which cater to travellers. OwlTing Market is a platform dedicated to promoting Taiwanese brands where customers can easily get information about a product’s certifications and its origins.
As a blockchain evangelist, Wang was the only non-governmental participant from Taiwan invited to the 2019 APEC forum. He also actively invests in other blockchain companies and start-ups, including MaiCoin, Taiwan’s leading Bitcoin broker. OwlTing is expected to be listed on Nasdaq very soon.
