Better known as Milli, a name that signals being as adaptable as a millilitre of water, Danupha Kanateerakul rose to prominence in 2022 aged just 19 with her viral song Mango Sticky Rice, even causing a spike in sales of the popular Thai dessert. Her first album Babb Bum Bum later won album of the year at the Toty Awards and she also became the first Thai solo artist to perform at Coachella. Outspoken on social issues, Milli raps in multiple languages, often addressing traditionally taboo topics.
