Daniel Tsai, with his brother Richard, controls the various subsidiaries and investments of the great Fubon Group, including Taiwan Mobile, Taiwan Fixed Network and Fubon Bank. They consider themselves more of “Generation 1.5”, having not only taken over the family business from their father but expanding it into a massive empire whose services affect the daily lives of millions of Taiwanese. One of the company’s most recent accomplishments is launching the streaming platform Disney+ in Taiwan, with the vision of making his mark in media.
Together, the brothers are ranked third in Forbes Taiwan’s Richest 2021, with a net worth of US$7.9 billion.
