The only thing better than a cold beer after a long day is a specially brewed craft beer with flavours balanced to perfection. That’s the concept behind Black Kite Brewery, a local microbrewery cofounded by Daniel and his brother David. Tired of the same old boring lagers, both left their conventional jobs to diversify the Hong Kong beer scene—by starting their own brewery in Wong Chuk Hang and naming their brand after the beautiful birds of prey they saw flying around the city. Black Kite now produces 4,000 litres of high-quality beer a month, and has quickly made a name for itself as the label to look for when it comes to beers that are easy to drink but chock-full of flavour.
