Cynthia Tenggara

Co-Founder and CEO, Berry Kitchen

Cynthia is one of the few Indonesian female start-up founders to hit it big by filling in the gap for affordable lunch catering with flexible options. BerryKitchen, the first and only online catering service in Indonesia, started small in 2012 with four employees preparing fewer than 50 ready-to-eat meals. Today, the business employs at least 100 people who help pump out roughly 2,000 boxed food units daily, including bentos and snacks. Leading her chef team is Ivan De Putra, hailing from L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Singapore, with chef Edwin Lau designing a special Ketogenic diet. In the pipeline is a Blue Apron-like service, where pre-packaged ingredients are delivered to customers who wish to prepare their own meals without the hassle of grocery shopping. Beyond expanding overseas, Cynthia hopes to start a sustainable NGO that can change the world.
