Cris Albert

President and CEO, FILA Philippines, Isport Life Inc and Athlete’s Gym & Dive

Dedicated and driven, Cris Albert was at the helm of FILA Philippines for over 30 years

Cris Albert grew up surrounded by the fashion industry, and in many ways, it was what shaped her path in life. Her mother, model and choreographer, Wanda Louwallien used to bring the young Albert to her shows, exposing her daughter to a fascinating and tactile world of fabrics, colours, textures, and composition. Though Albert could have decided to pursue modelling full-time, the late President and CEO of FILA Philippines entered marketing and management instead. She completed a post-graduate course at INSEAD, France and pursued a Diploma Course in OPM at Harvard University.

With a total of 420 outlets, FILA Philippines is considered among the largest sports footwear retailers in the country; they are present in hundreds of department stores nationwide and are a familiar name for many Filipino families. Albert also introduced four new retail concepts that have benefited FILA; these include FILA Italia, Heritage, Universal, and Green.

Albert passed away last April while in Singapore to attend a Fendi event. She is survived by her loving husband, Butch, and two kids, Bela and Carlo, who are taking the reins of their family business and continuing their mother's philanthropic efforts.
