The growing international reach of Filipino pop has given Original Pilipino Music a wider audience, with Bini at the centre of its latest surge. Formed through ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy, the eight-member group, comprising Aiah Arceta, Colet Vergara, Maloi Ricalde, Gwen Apuli, Stacey Sevilleja, Mikha Lim, Jhoanna Robles and Sheena Catacutan, has built a following through polished performances, infectious pop songs and a public persona that feels distinctly Filipino. Their success has helped bring P-pop to listeners beyond the Philippines, turning local-language music into a point of cultural connection.

Their commercial milestones reflect that reach. Bini became the first Filipino act to surpass one billion streams on Spotify, while their EP Talaarawan has accumulated more than 600 million streams, according to supplied figures.

The group’s influence has continued to expand in 2026 through international touring and recognition at the Filipino Music Awards, where they won Artist of the Year and Tour of the Year.
