Coco Martin, one of the most versatile actors of his time, has given life and colour to some of the most memorable roles in Philippine television. The actor, whose real name is Rodel Pacheco Nacianceno, is best known for playing the lead roles in Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin (2011), Walang Hanggan (2012), Ikaw Lamang (2014) and Juan de la Cruz (2013). He also played the lead on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (2015) on all 1,696 episodes of the longest-running drama series in Philippine entertainment history. Martin has received plentiful recognition for his achievements, including the prestigious local Gawad Urian, FAMAS and Golden Screen Awards.

If there is one thing he has learnt in his long career as an actor, he says, it is to work on collaborative projects that continue to spark creativity. “Always remember that this industry is a team sport; have a solid goal that you and your team can achieve. It always takes a village.”

“Talent is one thing, but the key ingredients are always perseverance, hard work and humility.”
