Fashion designer Claudia Wang comes from a creative family: her mother is fashion designer Hsu Chiu-Yi (徐秋宜), and her father is renowned painter Wang Ren Jye. Wang graduated from the Fashion Design Department of Shih Chien University and later pursued a master’s degree in Interactive Design at National Taipei University of Technology, engaging in various aspects of the fashion industry even as a student. She began making a name for herself as a designer in 2018, launching her eponymous brand, Claudia Wang, in 2019.

In 2021, Claudia Wang ventured into the world of NFT, becoming the first fashion brand in Taiwan to integrate NFT blockchain marketing. For her autumn-winter 2022 collection, Wang incorporated the concept of “wrinkles” in time and space, featuring repeated appearances, folds and high-saturation colours of op art patterns and curves. The clothing designs extended from line folds to patterns and fluidity, creating a multidimensional visual space. Drawing inspiration from the boundaries between reality and virtuality, the collection presented a fantasy of “creation of time and space” through visual effects created with 3D rendering technology. It transformed the elements of illusion into tangible clothing pieces that could be experienced and worn. The collection also embraced the themes of surrealism, technology and futurism, creating a strong sense of spatial dimension.
