Claudia Kolonas’ multi-asset class platform Pluang first allowed Indonesian retail investors to place micro-investments in gold before expanding its offerings to include mutual funds, global stock indices, cryptocurrencies and fractional single US stocks. More than four million people have registered on its platform, where investments can start as low as less than $1. The GoJek-backed company raised $110 million in two separate rounds of funding in 2022.
