Cilla Foong

Cilla Foong is legendary in the Malaysian fashion scene. Starting as a model in 1977 when she was 17, Foong refocused her energies in the ’90s on grooming new talents—Kavita Sidhu, Tengku Azura and Ling Tan were just a few of the big names that blossomed under her wings. Over the decades, the ageless beauty has carved a niche for herself in luxury fashion and beauty, going from producing spectacular runway shows to curating bespoke events for major brands like Dior, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Armani, Saint Laurent and Cartier.

After all these years, fashion still gives her much joy. In a 2019 interview with The Star newspaper, Foong said: “I have been in the industry for a long time and still love what I do. No two events are the same and I am constantly learning new things. I enjoy the creative process, bringing an idea to life.”

Foong describes her style as timeless, sticking to the classics but always updating them with contemporary pieces. Her styling choices are always on point, whether it's a jeans-and-T-shirt ensemble, a chic summer dress, or a formal gown. Her greatest superpowers are her poise and grace—you'll never see her with a hair out of place.
