Chun Shan Wu, chairman of Best Giving, creates landmarks of innovative design across Taiwan

Developer Chun Shan Wu is known for forging his own path in construction, taking on challenging ventures, such as the National Taichung Theater in 2009, now one of the nine Landmarks in the World. His company, Lee Ming Construction Co. Ltd. (Best Giving), completed the project after five years, winning the National Construction Gold Award from the National Enterprise Competitiveness Development Association of the Republic of China in 2015. The project also won the Japan Good Design Award in 2018. Other notable construction projects include the Southern District of the National Palace Museum and the Central Taiwan Industrial Innovation Research Zone.

Wu started Lee Ming Construction Co. Ltd. in 1994. After the devastating 921 earthquake in 1999, he entered the field of public construction to aid in rebuilding schools. In 2021, Best Giving was the first construction company in the global AECO industry to introduce the BIM project information security management standard ISO 19650-5.

The National Taichung Theater, constructed by Chun Shan Wu, does not have 90-degree angles. Instead, floors, walls, and ceilings connect to form a single, continuous curved surface.
