Chun Dong Chau stands at the forefront of Singapore’s rapidly evolving fintech landscape, where his influence is both profound and transformative. As co-founder of Advance Intelligence Group—an AI-driven technology company established in 2016—he has played a pivotal role in advancing digital commerce, data intelligence, and financial services across Southeast Asia.
He also serves as deputy CEO of Atome Financial, launched in 2019 as a digital financial services platform that offers buy-now-pay-later (BNPL), lending, and credit solutions. Under Chau’s leadership, Atome has seen exponential growth. In 2024, its operating income rose 63% to US$236 million, with annualised net revenue surpassing US$500 million by mid-2025. Atome also processed over US$2 billion in gross merchandising volume (GMV) in 2024, reflecting strong consumer adoption and merchant partnerships.
Chau has also steered the company’s diversification into new financial products including insurance, savings, cards, and lending, supported by robust capital from global and regional investors such as BlackRock, EvolutionX, CLSA, and HSBC.
Atome continues to scale across the region through strategic partnerships with major players including Agoda, Anytime Fitness, and Charles & Keith, and is integrated into platforms like TikTok Shop, Lazada, and Ezbuy. These collaborations further cement its role as a leader in embedded finance.
