Real estate magnate Chua Thian Poh is a community leader and holder of several public appointments
Chua Thian Poh is executive chairman of Ho Bee Land, a real estate development and investment company founded in 1987. The firm, which was listed on the mainboard of the Singapore Exchange in 1999, has property developments and investments in Australia, China, Europe, the UK and Singapore, and is known for its luxury homes at Sentosa Cove. Ho Bee Land recently reported a 16.5 per cent rise in net profit to SG$105.5 million for the first half of 2021, due to an increase in development profits and rental income.
Chua is also a prominent leader within the Singaporean Chinese community, serving as honorary president of the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations, honorary president of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, chairman of the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, and immediate past president of the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan association.
Among various other roles, he has also served as member of the Council of Presidential Advisers, and was Singapore’s non-resident ambassador to the Republic of the Maldives from 2015 to 2019.

In 2019, Chua was also conferred the National University of Singapore’s Honorary Doctor of Letters degree by the Singapore Government for his contributions to local education.
