At the apex of Hong Kong’s burgeoning craft beer scene, Christopher Wong, the accountant-turned-beer genius and co-founder of HK Brewcraft is accredited with bring craft beer to Hong Kong. Believing Hong Kong needed its own homebrew beer shop, HK Brewcraft was developed from a small start-up into one of the chief establishments in the city’s nascent brewing scene, selling home brewing kits and hosting workshops, tastings and full-on brewing courses.

Alongside his current day job as manager of Hitachino HK Brewery, Christopher’s latest venture, Heroes Beer Co, is creating unique beers based off of Hong Kong heroes. He co-owns two of the city’s finest taprooms—The Ale Project and Second Draft—, is one of the few provisional beer judges for the Hong Kong Beer Judge Certification Programme, a judge for many international competitions, and the secretary of the HK Homebrewers Association. And, if that wasn’t enough, He is also the owner of Kin’s Terrace, a Chinese beef specialty private kitchen, where he experiments with beer brewing in a Chinese kitchen.
