The Galanistas | This creative force marks his style with formless artistry and function

Christian Tantoco, the creative power behind Nena’s Sanctuary, combines tradition and modernity with his forward-thinking style. Coming from the influential Tantoco family, known for founding Rustan’s, Christian brings a modern twist to the family tradition, focusing on community and inclusivity. His personal style reflects this philosophy—formless yet functional, practical yet creatively free. “It’s easier for me to decipher what I like when I’m not influenced or inspired by anything,” he shares, underscoring his unique artistic expression that defies conventional norms.

At Nena’s Sanctuary, a unique events space that combines luxury with nature, Christian channels his passion for creating meaningful experiences. Meanwhile, he also handles brand management at Joel’s Place, a haven of retail, food and experiences. Launched in 2023, Christian oversees Joel’s Place offerings that are centred around the pillars of fresh, healthy and local. “With Joel’s Place and Nena’s Sanctuary, it was a meaningful two years of co-creation,” he says.

Christian continues to explore ways to add value to others’ lives, focusing on learning and growth. Much like his vision for Nena’s Sanctuary and Joel’s Place—two projects he has built with his parents, siblings and co-workers, his style is rooted in authenticity and creative expression, making him a standout figure in both the business world and fashion.
