Chotipong, inspired by his grandfather’s entrepreneurial spirit along with JeanPaul Sartre’s Being and Nothingness, walked away from the family’s successful automotive business to pursue mixology at Shaker’s Bartending School in London. Now, he is the founder of Bangkok’s popular Vesper Cocktail Bar & Restaurant, which consistently ranks in Asia’s 50 Best Bars: in 2016 (#17), 2017 (#40). He has also founded Foodie Collection in 2013 with his wife Debby Tang, a quick growing and award winning restaurant group. It manages Vesper and the following highly acclaimed establishments: Italian restaurants Il Fumo, Via Maris Mediterranean Bistro, and pasta bar La Dotta. They are planning to opening the re-branded 80/20, serving innovative Thai creations by Chefs Napol Jantraket and Saki Hoshino. To ensure he is giving back to society, Chotipong works closely with online fundraiser Socialgiver.com, whereby a portion of the revenue from each of his outlets is donated to charity.
