Chiau Haw Choon

Chiau Haw Choon grew up in a traditional hardware shop. His childhood ‘playground’ was filled with building materials, which gave him the passion to transform the building material industry in Malaysia. His dream for the country is to create more job opportunities for the locals and provide more affordable housing in Malaysia. To date, Chin Hin Group has created more than 700 employment opportunities within a decade and is now on its way to creating employment for more than 100 people with a new Starken II factory in Johor. Under the group, Haw Choon has also initiated ‘The Lion King Project’—a two-year youth leadership programme to coach and empower the young to develop a winning mindset and leadership traits.
