Chia-Hui Lu

CEO, Egret Culture and Education Foundation

 

Chia-Hui Lu is an accomplished pianist and is currently the CEO of Egret Culture and Education Foundation and an assistant professor at National Taiwan University of Arts. She was the winner of Artist International’s Annual Young Artists Award and the Outstanding Alumni-Winners Award in Piano, and has been invited to give recitals at the Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall and the Alice Tully Hall at the Lincoln Center. Chia-Hui recently dedicated herself to composition and music design and production. In 2015, she was responsible for the music design for the modern technology multimedia show Road. The following year, in her recital Amore, by virtue of multimedia, abstract music and 3D animation, she presented a visual recreation of 60 paintings by painter Jiang Xian’er. In the same year she launched the arrangement Tango and new piece Butterfly Orchid, which were included in albums Enchanted and Amore respectively. In 2017 she worked with poet Lan Lijuan to hold the Water on Fire piano recital. She has authored The Mysterious Music that Touches the Heart and Taiwan Music Institute Honorable Musician Series: Chan-Kuo Dang – A Scholar’s Love for Music.
