A well-designed space simply cannot be measured by its looks. For Cherin Tan, who heads up interior design firm Laank, spaces should be created based on "how we move, feel and live". This philosophy has earned her projects both locally and regionally including Violet Oon Singapore, Resorts World Sentosa, Bynd Artisan and, most recently, a 35‑room boutique hotel called The Boathouse Phuket in Thailand. The 34-year-old defines success as "having the freedom to live life as the great big adventure that it is".
