With 10 years of experience as an international journalist, Cheng Yan has covered three US general elections, two French general elections and one UK general election. In 2013, she began to write articles for WeChat public account Shiliupo Report, which became one of the top 20 WeChat public accounts, with millions of followers, for its entertainment and fashion content. Nearly all of the articles released by Yan have a visitor volume greater than 100,000. Yan also established a personal website www.shiliupo.com and she is affectionately known by her followers as Lord Popo. Shiliu, a homophone for “sixteen” in Chinese, mainly focuses on articles about the outfits of popular stars and funny anecdotes related to those who frequent European and American fashion and entertainment circles.
