Chen Yih Wen

Award-winning filmmaker Chen Yih Wen helps others to speak out. Her documentary, The Boys Club, about sexual harassment in the film industry, won the Network for the Promotion of Asia Pacific Cinema award, while her film, The Hidden Cut, about female genital mutilation, won the Society of Professional Journalists Award for Excellence in Reporting Women’s Issues. Be it deforestation, inequality or freedom of expression, no subject is taboo for her.
