Chen Binglei

A former banker and metals trader, Chen Binglei is also a menswear designer for his own label, and that interest in fashion led him to co-found BloomGem Biotechnology with Ye Ting. The “Gem” in the company’s name stands for Genetically Engineered Microorganism, and it is a trailblazer in deploying biotechnology to make sustainable microbial dyes for the textile industry.
