Chelsea Scott-Blackhall's designs have been worn on the runways of Paris, New York, Seoul and Singapore. You might also have spotted them on the red carpet, worn by celebrities such as Matthew McConaughey and Nick Jonas at the 2018 Oscars, and Black Panther leading man, Chadwick Boseman during the film's press tour. But the 36-year-old designer, who helms her own fashion label, Dzojchen, hasn't let that bit of fame get to her head. Afraid of mediocrity and mundanity, the Singapore-born designer of British descent lives life with purpose—she hopes to grow her label to become an international household name, and to drive more attention to Singapore's creative community.
