Chatchai Aphibanpoonpon

Founder, Klong Dinsor

Founded in 2013, 33-year-old Chatchai Aphibanpoonpon’s non-profit organisation Klong Dinsor to improve the lives of people with disabilities. Specifically, it focuses on eradicating isolation, and creating education and employment opportunities for the disabled. He has a Bachelors of Economics and a Masters in Business Administration from Thammasat University. Prior to Klong Dinsor, Chatchai founded LadyTaxi in 2012, a safe taxi service by women for women. He established Klong Dinsor as an inclusive society where people, able-bodied or not, can live together harmoniously. His successful projects includes the Lensen drawing kit, a set of tools designed to enable blind children to draw and express themselves, which was promoted through the “Please Touch Exhibition” (2016). To improve cinematic experience, he launched mobile application Pannana that plays auto-sync audio descriptions for the blind, first released at cinemas in 2017. He hopes that more people can help to transcribe, and that more content providers can taking responsibility. To address health and exercise concerns, Chatchai also orchestrated Run2gether in 2016, a fun run in which the visually impaired are paired with sighted guides. Plans are also afoot to launch a modelling agency and a headhunting service to increase employment opportunities for the disabled.
