With an MBA from Harvard Business School and a deep-seated commitment to making the world a better place, Charles Ormiston’s journey has been one marked by prodigious leadership and a thirst for adventure.

Ormiston is the founding partner of Bain & Company’s Singapore office and a luminary in the world of strategic consulting. His storied career spans over 30 years, during which the former managing partner of Bain’s Southeast Asia business spearheaded its growth to six offices and 500 staff.

As a global citizen, Ormiston’s impact knows no bounds. He offers strategic insights to clients across a spectrum of industries, from retail and consumer products to technology, telecommunications, logistics and government. His expertise in the Asia-Pacific is unchallenged; he remains a guiding force in helping business leaders navigate the region’s unique and rapidly evolving landscape.

A committed advocate for Southeast Asia’s growth prospects, he co-founded the non-profit Angsana Council together with Monk’s Hill Ventures to foster greater understanding of the region’s potential. In a joint report produced by Bain & Company and Angsana Council in 2022, the Southeast Asian economy was projected to grow by four- to five-per cent annually over the next 10 years.

Beyond the boardroom, Ormiston is a dedicated adventurer, having embarked on long-distance bicycle journeys in Canada, the US, Italy, Argentina and New Zealand.
