A commercial-litigation specialist and social-services advocate, veteran lawyer Chandra Mohan Rethnam of the Ralph & Tann legal practice holds key positions across two of the firm’s divisions

Chandra Mohan Rethnam is recognised as one of Singapore’s top lawyers in litigation and trust & estates. Rethnam, who has worked at Rajah & Tann Singapore for more than two decades, runs the legal firm’s commercial-litigation and arbitration practice group, and is also co-head of the private-client practice group.

Outside of his legal work, Rethnam is chairman of the Rajah & Tann Foundation, which helps the firm channel donations to various charities. He is also a council member of the North West Community Development Council, and chairman of the organising committee for the Club-100 @ NWCDC annual dinner, which raises funds for an assistance scheme, the North West Food Aid Fund, for underprivileged residents.

Rethnam was appointed a Justice of the Peace in September 2020 for his contributions to social services and community causes in Singapore, which have also led to him being conferred the Public Service Star and Public Service Medal.
