Chanaradee Chatrakul Na Ayudhya

Artist

She calls her art naive but it is miles ahead of the game. The name behind the colourful, whimsical and illustrative world of “Juli Baker & Summer” is Chanaradee Chatrakul Na Ayudhya, also known as Khun Phaan. Having developed her unique, slightly Beatles-obsessed style as an art undergrad at Chulalongkorn University, she was quickly picked up by international and local brands. Some of her recent collaborations include the W Hotel and Topshop Thailand. She has also been painting murals, mostly with acrylics, for clients such as Hub Saidek Foundation, Klongtoey Project and her own alma mater. One of the fastest rising artists in Thailand, 24-year-old Chanaradee has hosted successful solo exhibitions such as I’ll Follow the Sun and Please Make Yourself At Home in 2017. Additionally, she has collaborated with UNICEF Thailand’s Art for the Future campaign in October 2018. As part of their 70th anniversary, 16 artists were invited to created pieces that highlight issues such as early childhood development, education, teen pregnancy, and violence against children. Each work explains the key issue, with viewers invited to sign up to show their support via QR code. Their names will then be incorporated into the piece.
