The Ng culinary empire ranges from Sheung Wan coffee shop Common Ground to food consultancy Twins Kitchen, and Caleb Ng runs it all with his twin brother, Joshua. Among other things, the pair have recently launched a hybrid pop-up retail space in Central called Preset, and have expanded into Mainland China, opening a restaurant in Guangzhou and planning to open more of them in both Beijing and Shanghai this year. All this entrepreneurial action has its roots in a deep love of food, whatever its source. If it captures the heart—and the palate—it’s fair game for the twins.
