Bunga Citra Lestari

Known with her acronym BCL, Bunga spent her childhood in various regions, like Palembang and Lhokseumawe. The public first knew her as a teen soap opera star in the early 2000s, appearing in popular titles, such as ABG and Senandung Masa Puber. BCL is equally preeminent for her passion for singing, which started by becoming a featured singer for Pas Band in 2004. Her first solo single was in 2006 as a part of the soundtrack for a movie she also starred in, Cinta Pertama. She took a step back from the spotlight after marrying Malaysian actor Ashraf Sinclair in 2008 and raising their son, Noah. Her comeback in 2012 was received with a rousing reception when she starred in Habibie & Ainun, a box office hit with more than 4.6 million viewers. She also has won numerous awards, including Best Solo Pop Women Artist by Anugerah Musik Indonesia in 2019. Keen to nurture young Indonesian singers, BCL was part of the judges for Indonesian Idol in 2017 and 2019, followed as one of the judges for X-Factor 2021.
