Founder and CEO, Creador Sdn Bhd
Whatever venture capitalist Brahmal Vasudevan touches turns to gold
Brahmal Vasudevan founded Creador Sdn Bhd in 2011, and within a decade successfully grew it into a multibillion-dollar private equity firm specialising in mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs and corporate restructuring.
In 2021, his firm managed to pull off the largest listing of the year via credit information provider CTOS Digital Bhd, following the previous year’s record listing and IPO of home improvement chain MR DIY.
Vasudevan is not only known for his success in business, he is also committed to supporting local causes that make a lasting impact in communities. During the height of the pandemic, Creador Foundation, a not-for-profit arm of Creador, donated RM3 million in medical equipment to hospitals across Malaysia to help the country meet the needs of severely ill Covid-19 patients.
A big believer that everyone should have access to quality medical care, Vasudevan and his spouse pledged to donate US$10.8 million to Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman to develop a not-for-profit teaching hospital at its Perak campus.
