With an illustrious career in both property and premium retail, Gozali’s name is on some of the country’s biggest entertainment centres. As the founder of developer Plaza Indonesia Realty, he had a hand in opening the country’s first luxury shopping mall in 1990. He later reformed Sudirman Place into the entertainment centre FX Plaza, and eventually built the eX Plaza as well.

The hotel chain Hotel Harris is another of Gozali’s notable properties. Beyond the success of Plaza Indonesia, he is also the Vice-President Commissioner of leading lifestyle retailer Mitra Adi Perkasa, which licenses some of the world’s most-recognised brands, from Calvin Klein and Emporio Armani to Starbucks and Samsonite.
