Bonnie Tu is chairperson of Giant Bicycle Group, the world’s largest bike maker, and founder of Liv Cycling, an award-winning women’s cycling brand. She launched Liv in 2008 to cater to the clothing needs of women cyclists, having found limited options herself. Today, the brand, which employs an entirely female team, sponsors the Women’s World Tour Team, Liv Racing, and many international ambassadors.

Giant Bicycle Group started making bikes for the iconic brand Schwinn before it struck out and dominated the cycling industry. Through the global pandemic, Tu has led Giant to three consecutive years of record-high sales. In 2021, because of the strong demand for bicycles and electric bicycles (e-bikes) in various markets around the world, Giant's revenue and profit hit a record high in the first quarter, with a total of NT$20.62 billion. It increased by 54.8 per cent over the same period last year.

There are currently four brands under the Giant Bicycle Group: Giant, Liv, Momentum and Cadex. At 71, she remains fit and energetic by cycling three times a week. Tu believes that cycling helps women discover their infinite potential and confidence.
