For Bella Clarissa, style has never been about standing still. It has evolved with her, retaining the edgy sensibility she loved since her college days while making room for something more mature—and, importantly, more fun. “The core edgy is still there,” she says. “But as I get older, there are elements of maturity. I just don’t want to be too mature, so I mix it with something fun.”

That instinct to experiment has made her personal style anything but ordinary. Bella is drawn to sharp silhouettes: boxy shoulders, pointed shoes and dramatically trapezoidal bags. Angles, she explains, feel like an extension of herself. Her wardrobe may speak in bold lines, but her approach remains playful.

Her relationship with fashion began early, influenced by the woman whose wardrobe she still happily raids: her mother. From childhood, Bella admired her mother’s pieces and even staged dramatic protests when denied a coveted outfit. Today, the two still trade and compete for tops, watches and bags. Her aunt adds another dimension, favouring an all-black wardrobe that has taught Bella how to “maximise the angles.”

Hair, meanwhile, is where she lets the fun fully take over. After years of wearing it long, Bella sees its length as an invitation to experiment—from zig-zag hairlines and flowers to more unexpected transformations. For her, hair balances the sharpness of her fashion with a sense of freedom. “With an edgy look, I still want to keep things fun—and for me, that often comes through my hair. I love experimenting, from zig-zag hairlines to playful details and flowers. Hair is where I can let my imagination run free.”

And nothing makes her feel more empowered than a pair of boots. “Whatever the situation, I feel confident in boots,” she says. For Bella, being anything but ordinary is ultimately about energy: following intuition, embracing evolution and expressing whatever feels right in the moment. Her style may have sharp edges, but its spirit is anything but rigid.
