Azran Osman-Rani is a prominent and respected business leader who is known for growing businesses and leading innovative companies that disrupt industries. He is currently the CEO of Naluri, a Malaysian digital-health start-up that he co-founded, aimed at making mental- and physical-health coaching accessible to everyone.

An Economics and Engineering Master’s holder from Stanford University, USA, Azran started his career in consulting firms, Booz Allen Hamilton and McKinsey & Company. Among his notable accomplishments is as founding CEO of AirAsia X Berhad, leading the airline from start-up to IPO in six years, and co-founding and leading the expansion of a global internet video-on-demand service iflix across 20 countries.

An inspiring business role model and sought-after speaker, Azran wrote a book, 30 Days of Curiosity and 30 Years of Purposefulness, where he shares a fresh and unorthodox take on creating an entrepreneurial culture that can transform how businesses operate. Formerly clinically overweight, he grew into a passionate health and fitness enthusiast who eventually became an Ironman triathlete. His gruelling recovery from a major road accident while training to rejoin Ironman in less than six months is recorded in an inspirational documentary, A Broken Crayon.

A husband and father, Azran is married to former Astro news anchor Azreen Pharmy and together have three children.

When they first met at a student conference, Azran’s wife was not impressed and thought him to be cocky. Not giving up, he managed to convince her to have dinner with him and the rest was history.
