Ashish Manchharam

Ashish Manchharam is a driven real-estate entrepreneur now rewriting Singapore’s cityscape. After over 12 years at JLL in Singapore and Hong Kong, he founded 8M Real Estate in 2014, building a S$1.4 billion portfolio of over 70 conservation-shophouse assets across Boat Quay, Chinatown and Little India. In September 2023, Manchharam sold his remaining stake in 8M Real Estate to Hong Kong-based Crane Capital (a unit of the Washington State Investment Board) and stepped down as CEO, handing the platform into institutional hands as it entered its next phase.

In 2024, he launched Elevate Capital, a boutique investment and asset-management firm focused on “lifestyle-led” real-estate transformation. Its very first acquisition—S$132 million for Stamford Court (in partnership with PGIM Real Estate) in Singapore’s Civic District—signals Manchharam’s bold vision to reimagine the downtown fabric: living, working and leisure blended into one vibrant destination.

With a design-savvy, adaptive-reuse ethos, Manchharam sits at the intersection of investment, placemaking and city-culture. His mission: to turn Singapore’s urban core into a curated canvas for creative living and meaningful hospitality.
