Aseem Kumar Thakur co-founded Givola, which operates crowdfunding platform Give.asia, where regular folks can raise money for worthwhile causes. Campaigns on the platform cover everything from humanitarian disaster relief to individual appeals for help with medical or educational needs. In 2019, the platform established itself in Vietnam and South Korea, and helped raise more than US$35 million in funds for various charities and people in need.

In 2022, he stepped away from Givola to join corporate innovation company Stryber as senior venture architect as well as become CEO of Assemai, a digital transformation platform that aims to build, make investments and partner with makers to create a better world.
