President Commissioner of telecommunications giant Protelindo, Ario Wibisono is in charge of thousands of communication towers

Having served as commissioner for Sarana Menara Nusantara since 2011, Ario Wibisono was appointed soon after the President Commissioner of the group’s subsidiary Profesional Telekomunikasi, also known as Protelindo.

Sarana Menara Nusantara was established in 2008 with the aim of investing in companies that operate telecommunication sites, and bringing them to companies focused on wireless communication. Its biggest investment has been Profesional Telekomunikasi, which was established in 2003. Protelindo owns and operates more than 20,000 telecommunication tower sites in Indonesia.

After obtaining Civil Engineering degree from Bandung Institute of Technology in 1985 and a Master’s from PPM School of Management, Jakarta in 1986, Wibosono went on to work in top-level roles. He has served as a director for the Andalan Artha Advisindo Sekuritas and Peregrine Sewu Securities.
