Ari Dwipayana is trying to get millennials engaged in their civic duty

For his wise political observance, Ari Dwipayana steps in to join the presidential communication team to serve as the current Coordinator of the Presidential Special Staff. This role sees him managing diverse groups such as youths and experts to assist President Joko Widodo and his national programmes.

Dwipayana is a lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, a researcher at the Institute for Research Empowerment Yogyakarta, and is secretary of Interfidie Yogyakarta foundation. He has penned several publications focused on Indonesian politics.

With a heart for Balinese cultures, in 2003, he founded the Uluangkep foundation, a non-governmental organisation that conducts research focused on empowering traditional villages in Bali. Dwipayana also built the Puri Kauhan Ubud foundation, which focuses on developing creativity in the local literature of the Balinese language and its development among the youth.
