This IT professional turned venture capitalist is the brain behind several successful companies

Anurag Srivastava is the founding partner of Jungle Ventures, one of Southeast Asia’s leading venture capital firms, managing assets across technology, finance, consumer, and sustainability sectors. Since its founding in 2012, Jungle Ventures has grown into a multi-stage fund recognised for its long-term partnerships with founders across Asia.

Anurag’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2006, drawing on his extensive cross-market operational experience to build sustainable businesses. Noteworthy among these ventures are Sconce Solutions, a product lifecycle management company; Space Matrix Group; and One Animation, an award-winning studio whose productions are distributed globally on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Cartoon Network, and Disney, earning over 25 awards and two Emmy nominations.

As an early investor and advisor, he has backed several start-ups that went on to achieve successful exits to major enterprises—including Eloqua (acquired by Oracle for US$1.2 billion), Encentuate (acquired by IBM), and HolidayIQ (acquired by Lastminute.com). As part of Accel Partners’ investment committee in India, he also contributed to early investments in Myntra, later acquired by Flipkart.

Driven by a belief that business can be a force for good, Anurag co-founded BillionBricks, a social innovation company using design and technology to tackle homelessness. Its award-winning solutions include weatherHYDE, a life-saving emergency shelter that protects vulnerable families from extreme weather, and powerHYDE, the world’s first carbon-positive home designed for low-income communities. BillionBricks has since evolved into a sustainable housing enterprise, helping over 15,000 people move off the streets and into dignified, energy-efficient homes.

His latest initiative, Ten Thousand Heroes, extends this ethos of conscious building into leadership and personal growth. In collaboration with Brian Bauerle, founder of the Asian Leadership Institute, the project integrates Western psychiatry with Asian spirituality to develop a framework for higher consciousness in leadership. Through it, Anurag hopes to nurture a new generation of “conscious companies”—businesses led by empathy, awareness, and collective purpose rather than competition.
