The photographer breaking barriers through powerful images of sport and humanity
Annice Lyn is an award-winning documentary and sports photographer whose journey from national figure skater to internationally recognised visual storyteller has made her one of Malaysia’s leading photographic talents. The first Malaysian woman accredited to photograph the 2018 Winter Olympics, she has since covered four Olympic Games. A recent career highlight came at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, where her portrait of boxer Imane Khelif gained global attention. Winner of a World Sports Photography Award in 2023, she is also co-founder of Women Photographers Malaysia, where she champions mentorship, representation and opportunities for the next generation of female photographers.

Did You Know?
Annice Lyn came to attention with her shots from the SEA Games. Because she had no formal training, she was hoping to at least get shortlisted so she would win a six-month course in photography training, but her shots were so good that she actually won the role as Canon Youth Ambassador. Annice Lyn practises Muay Thai and is a plant parent.
