Anita Liang puts luxury mall Bellavita on the Gen Z radar

Behind Taipei’s most luxurious shopping mall Bellavita is a marketing powerhouse with a flair for aesthetics that transcend generations. Anita Liang, general manager of the 13-year-old upscale department store, is responsible for differentiating it for its competitors in Taiwan. She initiated the redesign of the first level of the mall, turning it into an Instagram-worthy wonderland, which has successfully attracted a younger market.

Located in Taipei’s Xinyi District, Bellavita is a grandiose structure inspired by European architecture and building materials. Unlike most shopping centres, it features high ceilings, light-flooded halls, and cathedral dome-style courtyard. The lavish construction amounted to NT$9 billion and took five years to complete.

Under Liang’s management, Bellavita remains one of Taipei’s must-visit destinations for shopping, sightseeing, and experiencing Taiwanese urban life. At every turn, it is clear that the commercial center is born of a clear vision and a simple desire to provide shoppers with a place to explore and relax.
