Angelica Martha Pieters, better known as Angel Pieters, is a young and talented singer. At 9 years old, she won a gold medal at the World Choir Games in 2006 and again at the 2007 Asian Choir Games in Jakarta. Her career took off after she became the runner up on Idola Cilik, a reality TV talent show, in 2008. Since then, she has released a few albums, including the spiritual “God Has a Way” in 2009. Angel has also sang with famous musicians and singers, most notably with David Foster at his “Hitman Returns: David Foster and Friends” concert in Jakarta 2011. Foster invited her to perform another duet when he returned to Jakarta in 2012. Outside of singing, she hosted the reality show Anak Malin Kundang in 2010, and played the role of the younger sister Luna Maya in the soap opera “The Goddess” in 2012, also lending her voice to the soundtrack. In 2013, she starred in the musical drama “Timun Mas” by Rama Suprapto. She recently won the 2015 Indonesian Movie Awards for Favorite Nominated Soundtrack with the song “Indonesia Negeri Kita Bersama” for the film “Di Balik 98”.
