Head mixologist, PS150
Angel Ng is award-winning head mixologist and co-founder of PS150, a Southeast Asia-influenced cocktail bar and hidden gem in Petaling Street. One of the pioneer female mixologists, she won the La Maison Cointreau, a by-invitation international competition, in its first Malaysian edition in 2014.
Ng began bartending while she was in college doing a double diploma in mass communication and digital filming. She started learning the trade at a popular wine bar, and later moved to a Spanish tapas bar where she rose up the ranks from junior bartender to head bartender. After she graduated, she joined the corporate world but left after five years.
She took a gap year and went to live in an aboriginal village, leading a simple lifestyle as she reflected on life. Discovering that she was most happy bartending, she started working at Joshua Ivanovic’s Circus and The BIG Group’s Hit and Mrs, among others, before co-founding PS150.
Besides clinching the prestigious La Maison Cointreau championship, Ng is also the Ada Coleman award winner at The Bar Awards KL 2017 and the champion of a number of cocktail competitions.
